Weimar West - (un)erhört !

Weimar West (un)erhört ! was a project that focused on the neighbourhood Weimar-West in the world famous German town Weimar.

Away from Goethe, Schiller and the Bauhaus Masters I worked with a group of young people from a school in Weimar-West with the support from an urban planning office, the school's principal and a ESF grant.

We investigated the "Ghetto-like" Image and the history of Weimar-Westby listening to its soundscape and the inhabitants ofWeimar-West and Weimar... in all sincerety but with also a lot of humour.

In the process we learned a lot about ourselves, our future, our past, the power of media, social interaction and what listening actually can be..and created a feature like Audiobook portraying the neighbourhood and ourselves. Detailed information (sorry, only in German) can be found on the blog that followed the whole project here
